TBM responds to flood damage in East Texas

Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief is responding to flood damage in the small East Texas Community of Bon Weir and the surrounding areas. Almost all of the small community churches and over 150 homes had up to 3 feet of water inside the buildings. 

Mud-out and clean-out units are responding to the need in Newton and Orange Counties and providing relief from the disastrous effects of flood waters of the past weeks.

The Austin Baptist Association Shower and Laundry Unit have washed and dried 160 plus loads of laundry for survivors of the floods.

The Sabine Neches Baptist Area Disaster Relief Unit and the Colorado Baptist Association Disaster Relief Unit are currently responding and mediating water damage to the many small churches while the Kingsland Baptist Church Disaster Relief Unit is responding to local flood ravaged residences in the Bon Weir community. 

Other units are being deployed to Orange and Deweyville communities as rapidly as possible following the receding flood waters. 

The Texas Baptist Men Disaster Relief Mobile Incident Command Center and team are deployed to Orange to coordinate relief activities.
