For a 12th year, Texas Baptist Men is partnering with Operation Care to serve meals to members of Dallas' homeless and underprivileged population on Sat., Dec. 19.

Operation Care is a city-wide Christian outreach that features a special Christmas party and dinner, for which TBM will again provide food.

George Felkner, who is coordinating TBM's effort, said volunteers are needed both to cook and serve, respectively. Those wishing to cook meals before the event will work out of TBM's main building (the Robert E. Dixon Missions Equipping Center) from 5 to 10 a.m., located at 5351 Catron Dr. in Dallas. Felkner said approximately 25 volunteers are needed for this part of the day.

Those who can help cook should contact David Mahaffey at davidmahaffey@msn.com.

A second groups of volunteers will be needed to serve meals at the event at the Dallas Convention Center, beginning at 8:30 am.

This service will require 20 to 25 volunteers.

If you would like to serve meals, send an email to rlphegleysr@sbcglobal.net.

Lastly, a cleanup crew will be needed back at TBM's main building at 5 p.m. to wash equipment. If you can help, send an email to gkfelkner@gmail.com.
