Long Term Disaster Recovery seeks to serve the uninsured, disabled and elderly families and individuals affected by disasters. We mobilize volunteers in Texas, the United States, and internationally.  We work with disaster survivors throughout the long term restoration process by partnering with local churches, associations and other recovery teams to mobilize volunteers, gather and transport donated items, provide prayer and spiritual support and raise awareness of specific needs.  Many homes in Texas flooded in the spring of 2016.  Volunteers are needed to help repair these homes in the Greater Houston and Southeast Texas areas.

These volunteer opportunities are for Church Youth/Adults Groups, Baptist Student Missions Groups as well as Yellow Camp Trained individuals.   Volunteers 18 and up, who stay overnight, must have a current background check on file. Yellow Cap training is not required for long term Disaster Recovery work.  Volunteers must be at least age 12.

Cost is $175 per person and includes food and lodging!
