This is great opportunity to get started with TBM Disaster Relief or to expand your DR skills.

Orientation (on Friday evening) is where TBM Disaster Relief training begins. It includes an introduction and overview of TBM Disaster Relief ministries, including the mission statement, history and brief overview of additional ministry opportunities within TBM.

This orientation is required for all Disaster Relief volunteers, as well as for renewal of credentials. It is a pre-requisite for all other specialty training. Credentials received through this training are necessary for entry into disaster areas and are good for five years.

Orientation or recertification is a two-step process. First, register for classes below. Second, complete a background check by clicking here

The next stage of Disaster Relief involvement is specialty training, and five options are offered Saturday, April 20.

  • In the morning, Food Preparation and Shower/Laundry training are offered.
  • In the afternoon, Box Unit and Fire/Flood/Rebuild are available.
  • There is one training, Basic Chainsaw, which takes a full day.

You will be able to choose one in the morning and one in the afternoon or the all day session.

Dinner will be served Friday night during a break in orientation. Continental breakfast snacks, drinks and lunch will be provided prior to and during the training events Saturday.

If you have any questions before the event, please email Richard Shine at rshine0727@yahoo.com.
