Royal Ambassadors and Challengers from across Texas were encouraged to “Finish the Race” (Acts 20:24) at the State Race event held recently in Belton, Texas. Around 200 participants from 32 churches gathered April 30 for the event.
The morning’s activities consisted of RA Race cars, linegliders and sailboats, along with turtle races, 2-person pit stop tire change challenge, 2-person pushcart, and reciting Bible verses. At the conclusion of these events, a program which included presenting the colors, repeating the pledges, praying for missionaries celebrating birthdays, and a presentation of the Gospel using a dragster as an illustration was held. The dragster, brought by Eddie Hamilton, had been on display all morning for the participants to see up close.
That afternoon a state-wide track event for Lads, Crusaders and Challengers was held in Salado. The day’s activities were directed by a group of nearly 100 volunteers representing approximately 30 churches across Texas.
