The Challengers State Basketball Tournament takes place annually on the first Saturday in March. There are two separate divisions and tournaments. The Challengers I tournament is for young men in the 6th through 9th grades. The Challengers II tournament is for young men in the 9th through 12th grades. The young men must be members of/or associated with a local church.
Sport programs have the strong ability to attract a young man’s attention and excite his interest. The basketball program is not only a tool for involvement of young men in the mission activity of their local church but can also be a tool for enlisting both young church men who do participate in missions and those who are outside the influence of the church as well.
