Military Fellowship

Texas Baptist Men’s Military Fellowship seeks to share Christ and show love to those who are serving or have served in the Armed Forces of the United States of America through a variety of church-based missions and ministry efforts.

Members of the fellowship — many veterans themselves — donate time and energy to reach out to men and women from all five military branches, as well as to their Reserve components, the National Guard, and others aligned with the cause of our nation's freedom.  As such, the fellowship works closely with churches on or near military installations, Reserve training centers and Armories to involve members in various evangelistic outreaches.

For 2017 the Fellowship seeks to develop ministry events focused on the 25,000+ members of the Texas Military Department (TMD).  Our state military forces are comprised of the Army National Guard, Air National Guard, and State Guard.  These Citizen Soldiers and Airmen drill close to their hometowns and deploy for training at various Camps across the state.   The Fellowship is in the process of retooling our efforts to meet ministry needs within the TMD.  Updates on this effort will be shared in the coming months.

After a temporary period of dormancy, the fellowship fired back into motion in December of 2013 after TBM received a call from a representative of the U.S. Army 341st Multifunctional Medical Battalion in Seagoville. The caller asked if TBM could provide meals for soldiers’ Christmas dinner after the initial caterer backed out — and TBM responded. In February 2014, TBM voted to reinstate the Military Fellowship as an official ministry.
