Fly-In Report

The Texas Baptist Men Aviation Fellowship often gather in Sunrise Beach, Texas at the hangar of Tommy Tollett. The Aviation Fellowship is currently restoring a Cessna 180, dubbed the "Hound of Heaven", to be placed into missionary service upon completion. This group of men meet to scrub, scrape, strip paint, rivet parts, and do other such jobs needed toward the restoration.

Pictured with the "Hound of Heaven" is Mike Ward up to his elbows in work. After a good day's work the men may go to Spykes BBQ in Kingsland, Texas for food and fellowship. Often someone like Dr. John LaNoue will give a devotional or inspirational talk. The group regularly lifts the plane and the Aviation Fellowship ministry in prayer before God. Several of these pilots used their planes in relief efforts following Hurricane Katrina.

Contact Tommy Tollett who schedules restoration workdays for anyone interested in helping in this project. You can reach Tommy at Tom's Aircraft Etc. (512) 925-2423 or at home at (325) 388-8501.
