On August 14, 2010 ten Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders departed DFW Airport for Bulgaria to work on a project to install the Post & Beam frame work for the third floor roof system and a brick project.  What a wonderful blessing it was to be part of this ministry in Bulgaria.

The Retiree Builders always have many projects going on, one of them has been in Corpus Christi to help with an expansion job for the South Texas School of Christian Studies.

A BIG Thank you goes out to the Brick Masons who came out to lay the stones for the expansion to our Executive Suite here at the Dixon Building.

On August 31, 2009, our Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders and their sweet wives came from all parts of Texas to grace our premises with their RVs and once again begin work “for the Glory of God”. We at the Robert E. Dixon Building are the grateful recipients of their labor of love as they work to complete our much needed office addition.

The project builders spent the month of May in Ingram, Texas. First Baptist Church of Ingram had begun a multi-purpose building to be used as a gym and a temporary worship center. For various reasons, they were unable to complete the inside of the building and were getting a bit discouraged.

Samaritan’s Purse needs volunteers who have extensive skills in carpentry to help build 13 Log/Timber Frame houses in Eagle, Alaska after ice breakup and flooding destroyed homes in the town of 160 residents. Eagle is located in the Eastern part of Alaska on the Yukon River, 8 miles from the Canadian border.

On Monday morning June 22, 2009 the Texas Baptist Men (TBM) Brick Layers started moving into Tyler, Texas to Brick the Parsonage for the Korean Baptist Church of Tyler. They started setting up about noon and finished up on Thursday afternoon.

GOD CONNECTS WORKMANSHIP OF TBM BUILDERS
WITH NEEDS IN BULGARIA

Forty-eight pieces of solid oak furniture including bunk beds, desks, and wardrobes are currently being constructed by TBM  Furniture Builders and destined for an orphanage in Bulgaria.

A few months ago, one of our Retiree Builders,

Eddy Carr, had surgery and was down for a long 

period of time. I'm sure he got cabin fever within the

first week, so he took up knitting to give him

something to do.
