BRASHEAR BAPTIST CHURCH EXPANDS MINISTRY WITH HELP OF TEXAS BAPTIST MEN

The week prior to July 14, 2008, the Church Builder group of the Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders moved into the community of Brashear, Texas near Sulphur Springs to assist the Brashear Baptist Church in the construction of a 16,000 sq ft Family Life Center/Fellowship Hall/Gym/Youth Education Building.

NEW PROSPECT BAPTIST IS BLESSED WITH NEW BUILDING AFTER TORNADO

The first week of April 2008, a tornado went through the Glen Rose, Texas area and caused major damage in the little community of Nemo, Texas. The New Prospect Baptist Church was hit and two portable classroom buildings were destroyed.

Project Builders in Missouri City, Texas
 
The Project Builders Ministry began construction of Trinity Baptist Church in Missouri City, Texas on March 10, 2008. Missouri City is located approximately 18 miles South West of Houston. This is a mission Church of Williams Baptist Church of Missouri City and is being constructed in a newly developed area that has the potential to reach hundreds, even thousands for Christ. The group was not able to park at the building site due to the mud and loose dirt. The first week they parked in the beautiful Brazos Bend State Park then moved to “ the church by the park “ which was built by the Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders some years ago and that’s were they settled in for the duration.

LET'S SHARE SOME BUILDER MEMORIES AT THE RALLY

WOW! Twenty nine years and still counting! I remember the Retiree Builders first job at Knob Springs, Texas, some of the markers like the Hospitality House which was built in 24 hours, rebuilding Saragosa on labor day weekend, the Canadian Baptist Seminary, Breckenridge Village, My Fathers House, all the camps around Texas.....and the list goes on and on.

Welcome Hispanic Builders

On the 7th of February 2008, Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders dedicated a tool trailer for the newly formed Hispanic Builders Ministry in the Rio Grande Valley. The group will be mostly building in the Rio Grande Valley, but they will also have projects all over Texas, Mexico, and other countries. Santos Gaitan is the new Coordinator of the group. He and his wife Ninfa, are welcome assets to the Retiree Builders. Santos has worked with Disaster Relief, Mission Service Corps, and River Ministry.  Everyone is invited to work with the group and they will be working with other groups.

"Great Hall" Goes Up in Mountain View New York

On the 27th of August 2007, over twenty couples of Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders started a project to construct a 6,500 square foot lodge called the Great Hall in Mountain View, New York at 4-H Camp Overlook.  The woods around the camp were ringing with the sounds of hammers, saws, and as the New Yorkers say, the deep Texas accents.

Breckenridge Village Celebrates

In the Fall of 1997, Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders moved into the Tyler, Texas area and set up camp in a field. At one time 162 RV’s were parked there. Over the years, all of our builder groups have had the pleasure of working for Breckenridge Village and getting to know their staff and residents. These pictures represent the many buildings and projects that have been completed for them by our TBM Builders.

Builders at Sabine Pass

Builder groups gather at Sabine Pass to rebuild a church and are treated to a “Shindig”! They were doing more than rebuilding a church destroyed by Hurricane Rita. Our Texas Baptist Men Retiree Builders and their wives were in Sabine Pass for a month encouraging the people and sharing their love of the Lord which motivates them to build.
